Italian Foil with a Standard Parkerized Grip and Pommel

This is our most popular model. The parkerized grip provides unparalleled feel and finish and the matching pommel accents the hardwood grip elegantly. The best part is that the feel of the weapon is just as good as the looks. This weapon is easily electrified for tournament use and will meet the FIE requirements. The parkerized finish is nonconductive. Please indicate where you want your weapon to balance on the blade with respect to the guard. Also indicate what size blade you would desire. Blades have a range of lengths form 30 to 35 inches. Remember that when we build the weapon to your specifications we reserve the right to use a larger or smaller pommel as is necessary to achieve the desired balance. When balanced properly this is a very lively weapon.

Italian Foil with Extended Quillions a Standard Parkerized Grip and Pommel

For those that have asked us what our weapons with the extended quillions look like here is your answer. We took our popular Italian foil with standard parkerized grip and extended the quillions out to make them functional. The quillions can be extended beyond the guard as much or as little as you want. We recommend that they extend no more than 2 cm beyond the guard other wise they get in the way. Indicate where you want your weapon to balance on the blade with respect to the guard. Also indicate what size blade you would desire. Blades have a range of lengths form 30 to 35 inches. Remember that when we build the weapon to your specifications we reserve the right to use a larger or smaller pommel as is necessary to achieve the desired balance.

Italian Foil with a Standard Polished Grip and Pommel

This version of our standard grip features a polished steel finish that is quite stunning and will certainly get noticed. It still features an elegant hardwood handle and is capped off with a polished pommel. Keep a little oil on it to prevent rust and this will last you for many years of service. As always, please indicate where you want your weapon to balance on the blade with respect to the guard. Also indicate what size blade you would desire. Blades have a range of lengths form 30 to 35 inches. Italian Foil with a Large Parkerized Grip and Pommel

We took our standard grip the moved the arches further out to better accomadate larger hands and provide a little more room. This is designed for people whose glove size is XL or larger. If you have doubts let us know and we will do our best to advise you. Other than the arches the rest of the weapon has the same features as its smaller sibling. Please indicate where you want your weapon to balance on the blade with respect to the guard. Also indicate what size blade you would desire. Blades have a range of lengths form 30 to 35 inches. This is polished version of our large grip foil that you see above. Please indicate where you want your weapon to balance on the blade with respect to the guard. Italian Epee

Our Italian epees feature an aluminum guard hardwood handle and parkerized crossbar, pommel and ricasso. They use French epee blades for maximum blade selection and economy. This is a strong lightweight weapon that is quite lively in the hand. We build the weapon to balance at a point specified by the fencer so pommel size and grip length will vary accordingly.

Italian Dueling Sword ______________

We have had a lot of requests for a dueling sword using our architecture as a starting point. We extended the quillions and mounted an epee blade. This gives us a light weapon that can take the punishment of regular practice with ease while still being inexpensive. It features the same architecture as our other products including the parkerized finish. When balanced correctly the weapon has a very lively feel to it. A 35 inch French epee blade is used on this weapon. Again please specify the balance point. Keep in mind the pommel size will very to match the balance point specified by the fencer.

Italian Dueling Sword with Carbon Steel Guard

I recently found a supplier that carried these beautiful guards in stock and we made several pieces for people using them. The results were so stunning and the feed back so positive that we felt compelled to offer them to everyone. The basic features are a carbon steel guard with a brushed finish that lends a beautiful balance and feel to the weapon, a paduk hardwood grip, and a deep custom leather pad specifically molded for your weapon. After that the options are wide open. If you want to use our architecture that features a false ricasso like the one pictured above then we would be happy to do that. We can also build furniture for blades with true ricassos by attaching the guards to the arches. We use two bolts on each arch to secure the guard so this way you get a solid hilt that can be disassembled. Please contact us as that pricing is really dependent on the type of blade you want. The balance will be more toward the tip because the blades are heavier than a typical sport epee blade and because this weapon is designed to closely replicate a sword. It is highly recommended that you use a wrist strap with this weapon as that it helps the handling by taking some of the weight off the fingers. Of course all the steel parts, including the guard, can be parkerized.

General Information

Please make sure you tell us what length of blade you want.

Foil Blades come in: 30, 32, 34, 35 inch lengths

Epee Blades come in: 32, 35, inch lengths

The electrified versions come with an electric blade mounted with a French tip and your choice of a two prong or bayonet style socket. For competition weapons we recommend that all parts be parkerized to insulate the weapon. Due to the large number of options that are available to the sport fencer please contact us and we will be happy to work with you on assembling a weapon to meet your specifications.

The different sizes of conversion piece accommodate different hand sizes. Fencers with extra large hands should choose the large conversion piece. People with small to average hand sizes should choose the standard size piece.

The different finishes are a matter of taste. Polished steel is the traditional look. The parkerized pieces resist corrosion and scratching extremely well.

A large conversion piece may not meet FIE rules and may not be allowed in competition. In order for a foil made with a large conversion piece to meet the FIE rules, it is necessary to use the 12 cm guard. Contact us for details.
